Jack Skellington is known as the Pumpkin King in Halloween Town, where everyone adores his skills as a master of fright. But Jack becomes bored with the same Halloween events year after year and wonders if there is something else he can do with his skills.

When Jack sets out on a journey with his dog Zero, he discovers the hidden entrance to Christmas Town where everyone seems so happy. But when he tries to bring Christmas to Halloween Town, he creates a lot of confusion.
