Season 2 of The Grand Tour is here.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May—three middle aged men who review cars, race planes, trains, and automobiles, and generally cock-up just about everything they set out to accomplish. They’ve been doing all these things for a real long time, so they’re quite good at it.

After around fifteen seasons of their previous show, Top Gear, the trio found themselves without a television home when the BBC refused to renew Clarkson’s contract for reasons. But it’s all going to be okay, because Top Gear continues with new hosts, while Clarkson, Hammond, and May reunite on the internet for an Amazon Original Series, The Grand Tour.

The gang is back doing (nearly) everything they were famous for on Top Gear. They review super/hyper cars you can’t afford, go places you don’t want to go, and destroy as many automobiles as they can get their hands on in an endless quest to get somewhere the fastest. It’s all great fun, until someone (usually Hammond) gets hurt.

Fully enjoying the show doesn’t require that viewers know how to rebuild a carburetor, or have an opinion about how many cylinders is the proper amount. To squeeze many displaced liters of high performance entertainment out of The Grand Tour, all you have to do is tune in. Alright, I’m a little out of my wheelhouse with these car terms here, but you get the idea.

You don’t have to love cars to love The Grand Tour.

However, you do need a little patience. Amazon drip feeds us The Grand Tour at the old fashion rate of one episode per week. That means no binging the full series until around March 2018, but you do have something to look forward to every Friday.
