Any list of great comic books is guaranteed to feature The Sandman at the top. Neil Gaiman’s story about the Dream King and his odd siblings is widely considered to be a significant literary achievement.
For decades now there have been reports of possible movies or mini series based on the 75 issues published by DC Comics. All of the attempts to bring The Sandman to the screen never got past the development stage. Until now.
Judging from the recent teaser, the Netflix series will follow the first story arc straight from the comics.
